The 2020 NFL Draft is underway. Unsurprisingly, the Cincinnati Bengals got the action going by selecting LSU Tigers signal-caller Joe Burrow with the top pick.
In 2019, Burrow produced one of the most impressive statistical seasons for a college quarterback, throwing for 5,671 yards with 60 touchdowns with six picks. Burrow completed 76% of his attempts.
The 6-foot-4, 216-pound quarterback joins a Bengals squad that went 2-14 last year under rookie head coach Zac Taylor.
Most NFL mock drafts picked Burrow to be first off the board and also had Ohio State edge rusher Chase Young going second to the Washington Redskins.
A relatively by the books top-10 included the Arizona Cardinals taking linebacker Isaiah Simmons eighth overall. Oklahoma wideout CeeDee Lamb fell all the way to No. 17 and the Dallas Cowboys, while the Green Bay Packers surprised many by trading up to 26th and taking Utah State quarterback Jordan Love.
