Arizona Sports celebrates Randy Johnson on Monday’s ‘A Perfect Day’

On May 18, 2004, Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Randy Johnson threw a perfect game against the Atlanta Braves.
Monday marks the 16th anniversary of that date of the only perfect game in D-backs history. For that reason, Arizona Sports is celebrating Johnson’s feat with A Perfect Day, all-day programming on 98.7 FM, our app or online.
Special guests are joining Doug & Wolf, Bickley & Marotta and Burns & Gambo to talk about Johnson’s big game, in which the Big Unit hurled 117 pitches and struck out 13 batters.
One guest is joining us each hour from 6 a.m. to the 5 p.m. hour. Then, the entire game will be aired, commercial-free, on 98.7 FM at 6 p.m. Fox Sports Arizona will have special programming for the day, too.
