Save the date: The Arizona Wildcats and Alabama Crimson Tide football programs have scheduled a home-and-home series for the years 2032 and 2033, the schools announced Thursday.

The series will begin on Sept. 4, 2032, in Tuscaloosa, Ala. On Sept. 3, 2033, Arizona will host Alabama in Tucson.

“We are very excited to announce this home-and-home series with Alabama,” Arizona athletic director Dave Heeke said in a statement. “Facing a marquee opponent like the Crimson Tide is not only important to our football program, but bringing a high-profile opponent to Arizona Stadium will make a tremendous impact on our community. We look forward to welcoming the Alabama football program to Tucson, as well as an exciting trip to Tuscaloosa.”

Perhaps not coincidentally, Alabama’s athletic director is Greg Byrne, who formerly held the same position at Arizona.

The Wildcats are 1-5-1 all-time against SEC opponents. They have played Auburn three times, Georgia once and LSU three times.

Arizona also has a home-and-home with Mississippi State in 2022 and 2023.

Last season, the Wildcats went 4-8 while Alabama was 11-2. Of course, things could be wildly different by the time the two teams face one another more than a decade from now.
