The Cheez-It Bowl in Arizona is no more. The sponsor has decided to head to Orlando for the college football postseason where it will rebrand the Camping World Bowl.

Arizona’s bowl game, which was formerly known as the Cactus Bowl, took place at Chase Field as the Cheez-It Bowl over the past two seasons. It is operated by the Fiesta Bowl Organization, which on its website again lists the Phoenix-based bowl game as the Cactus Bowl.

The Florida Citrus Sports, a non-profit that also organizes the Citrus Bowl, will operate the new Orlando-based Cheez-It Bowl.

“Cheez-it is a go-to snacking tradition for football fans and cheese-lovers – especially those who can’t get enough of that uniquely cheesy and crunchy experience,” said Cheez-It senior director of marketing Jeff Delonis. “Our preceding bowl game sponsorship with the Fiesta Bowl Organization helped solidify Cheez-It as a staple in the college football postseason.

“Now we’re excited to turn to the next page and build our bowl-season tradition further through our new partnership with Florida Citrus Sports and the world-class destination of Orlando.”

The new Cheez-It Bowl, which has taken place since 1990, features an ACC team, or Notre Dame, against a squad out of the Big 12. It was known as the Camping World Bowl from 2017-19.
