The San Antonio Spurs have been roasted.

Next up, Bickley & Marotta of Arizona Sports turned their attention to the Valley sports landscape’s biggest geographical rival: Los Angeles.

One day after the 10th anniversary of a Kobe Bryant airball that preceded the final 48 minutes of the Seven Seconds or Less era, Bickley & Marotta on Thursday presented The Historical Roast of Los Angeles Sports.

The show discussed the Phoenix-L.A. rivalry that goes beyond the Phoenix Suns’ pivotal Game 5 against the Los Angeles Lakers, where Ron Artest grabbed Bryant’s errant shot and scored in the final second of regulation to put the Lakers ahead, 3-2, in a series that ended a game later.

Like the Suns, the Arizona Diamondbacks and Arizona Coyotes also have reason to detest their respective Los Angeles-based division rivals, the Dodgers and Kings.

Guests for Bickley & Marotta included former Suns head coach Alvin Gentry, Coyotes captain Shane Doan, former D-backs manager Kirk Gibson and Arizona Sports’ own Dave Burns.
