The Arizona Cardinals have a lot for us to get excited about, particularly with the addition of Pro Bowl wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. But how do they stack up against the rest of the competition in the NFC?

Arizona Sports’ Doug & Wolf put that to the test, ranking the top five teams in the NFC based on their offensive trio at quarterback, running back and wide receiver.

The Cardinals made an appearance on Calvisi and Wolf’s team while Doug declined to place the group of three in his top-5.

“You’ve gotta ask yourself who would you rather have than Kyler Murray and Kenyan Drake and DeAndre Hopkins … arguably the best receiver in the NFC now,” Calvisi noted with his No. 4 placing of Arizona.

The New Orleans Saints were the unanimous top selection for all three and Arizona’s NFC West rivals in Seattle cracked the list for Paul and Wolf.

The biggest disparity proved to be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who, with the addition of Tom Brady, needed to be up there for two of the three.

“There’s no way I’m taking the greatest quarterback of all time and saying, ‘You’re not invited now that you’re in this conference,” Doug said, placing Tampa Bay third. Paul placed the Bucs second while Wolf left them off, presumably due to the weak link of Ronald Jones at running back.

A look at the full lists below:
