The Arizona Cardinals have partnered with Gila River Hotels & Casinos and three local restaurants to provide $15,000 in meals to medical workers and those in the Gila River Indian Community being tested for coronavirus.
Workers and the first 50 people to get tested over the next two weeks at three different locations will receive gift cards.
Gila River Health Care is undergoing a surveillance testing program to find asymptomatic carriers of the virus. The meal gift certificates given out are intended to incentivize community members to get tested.
“We are always eager to help organizations throughout Arizona and saw this as an opportunity to lend a helping hand to the Gila River Indian Community,” said Kenneth Manuel, chief executive officer for Gila River Hotels & Casinos. “Together, we hope to help mitigate the spread of the virus by encouraging our community to make their health a top priority.”
All of the testing will take place each day at the below locations and dates from 7:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. and between 5-7 p.m.
