The Phoenix Mercury will open a 22-game regular season schedule on national TV against the Los Angeles Sparks on July 25.
The league released its schedules for each team on Monday. The coronvirus-impacted season for the WNBA will take place at a neutral bubble site in Bradenton, Fla.
Six Phoenix games will be nationally televised on ABC’s family of networks, including ABC, ESPN and ESPN 2. All of those fall in the front-half of the schedule.
The Mercury will also appear on CBS Sports Network five times this abbreviated season.
Phoenix’s opener will air on ABC, as will an Aug. 8 matchup against the Seattle Storm, which will pit legends Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird against one another. Other notable games include an Aug. 10 game on ESPN 2 against the Dallas Wings, the franchise that new Mercury point guard Skylar Diggins-Smith played for in her first six WNBA seasons.
