The next phase of the NFL’s return to the gridiron starts Tuesday.
The league announced in an email to all teams the reporting dates for training camp Saturday.
Rookies will be the first ones to report Tuesday (July 21) before quarterbacks and injured players arrive to camps Thursday (July 23).
All other players are to report to camp on July 28, the email states.
The dates were decided during Friday’s league meeting.
Under the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, teams can establish the start dates of training camp and tell players when they are expected to report.
The reporting dates are applicable for all teams other than the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs, the league added.
The Chiefs already decided on Thursday to have their quarterbacks and rookies report for COVID-19 testing on Monday. Texans rookies were also told to report on Monday. The two will square off Sept. 10 in the season opener.
