Arizona State guard Alonzo Verge Jr. is returning for his senior season after exploring his options in the NBA Draft.

Verge was named the Pac-12 Sixth Man of the Year averaging 14.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game last season.

The announcement was made on the ASU basketball Twitter account accompanied by a highlight video of Verge last season, his first with the team.

Verge transferred from Moberly Area Community College in late 2018, making an immediate impact.

After the season, the Chicago native joined two teammates in exploring the NBA as early entry candidates. Guard Remy Martin and forward Romello White both declared for the draft along with Verge.

Martin has not made a decision yet but is expected to return to ASU, according to head coach Bobby Hurley. White, meanwhile, decided to transfer to Ole Miss.

Martin has until 10 days after the NBA Draft Combine or Aug. 3, whichever comes first, to withdraw his name from the list and return to ASU.

The Sun Devils recruiting class ranks No. 7 in the nation with four commits including five-star recruit Joshua Christopher and four-star recruits Marcus Bagley and Pavlo Dziuba. Christopher is the only one of the newcomers to play guard.
