The Arizona Cardinals agreed to terms with another draft pick on Tuesday, securing third-round draft pick Josh Jones, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
Terms of the deal were not reported.
Jones, an offensive tackle out of Houston, was considered by some to be a potential first-round talent but available for the Cardinals at No. 72.
At Houston, Jones started 45 games, all of which were at left tackle.
He allowed just one sack and no quarterback hits as a senior. Pro Football Focus gave him a 93.2 grade, the best ever to a offensive tackle in college, according to the Cardinals site.
This is the second Cardinals rookie signing of the day. On Tuesday morning, they agreed to a four-year, $12.58 million deal with first-round pick Isaiah Simmons, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported.
