Things got heated in Texas on Tuesday night.
Benches cleared during the Dodgers-Astros game after Los Angeles pitcher Joe Kelly threw a pair of pitches that didn’t sit well with Houston.
The first incident came in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Facing Alex Bregman and a 3-0 count, Kelly let one sail, throwing a 96-mph fastball behind the third baseman.

Then came Carlos Correa’s at-bat in the same inning.
With two outs in the sixth, Kelly threw an inside breaking ball that caused Correa to duck out of the way.
It wasn’t until Correa’s strikeout, and Kelly’s reaction as he walked off, when the benches cleared with social distancing somewhat in mind.

For those in MLB circles, the results of Tuesday night’s matchup isn’t a shock to anyone’s core.
Let’s remember, the Dodgers were on the wrong side of the Astros’ sign-stealing scandal in 2017, resulting in a World Series loss to the team from Texas.
There’s clearly no love lost between the two squads.
