Arizona State men’s basketball got the final piece of good roster news it was hoping for before the 2020-21 season.

Point guard Remy Martin, the second-leading scorer in the Pac-12 last season, will return to the team for his senior year, the Sun Devils’ Twitter account announced Sunday afternoon.

Martin will withdraw from the NBA Draft, which is scheduled for Oct. 16. The deadline to withdraw from the draft is Monday.

Over three seasons at ASU, Martin has averaged 13.8 points, 4.0 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 30.0 minutes per game.

This past year was his best as a Sun Devil. He was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team after averaging 19.1 points with 4.1 assists and 3.1 rebounds as he led ASU on a likely path to reach its third NCAA Tournament in a row before the season was canceled due to the coronavirus.

With Martin and fellow guard Alonzo Verge Jr. returning after initially declaring for the draft, ASU has a deep rotation heading into the 2020-21 season.

In addition to those two, returning point guard Jaelen House and incoming freshman Josh Christopher, a five-star prospect, give ASU a strong group of guards.

Marcus Bagley, a four-star forward, will give them power on the wing as well alongside Kimani Lawrence and Taeshon Cherry.

The missing piece ASU will have to fill is in the post. Romello White transferred to Ole Miss in May, leaving the Sun Devils with Jalen Graham as the only big man who saw frequent playing time last year.
