The Arizona Coyotes officially know their schedule for the first round of the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Coyotes will play their first game against the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m., the NHL announced in a press release.

Games 2 and 3 will be back-to-back on Friday and Saturday, and then the teams will get a day off before Game 4 on Sunday.

Clear out your afternoons, because all four games will take place early in the day.

Here is the full schedule, with Games 5, 6 and 7 only played if necessary in the best-of-seven series:

  • Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2:30 p.m. (NBC Sports Network)
  • Friday, Aug. 14, 11 a.m. (NHL Network)
  • Saturday, Aug. 15, 12 p.m. (CNBC)
  • Monday, Aug. 17, 2:30 p.m. (NBC Sports Network)
  • *Wednesday, Aug. 19, TBD
  • *Friday, Aug. 21, TBD
  • *Sunday, Aug. 23, TBD

Arizona is gearing up for its first playoff appearance, excluding the qualifying round last week, since the 2011-12 season when the team advanced to the Western Conference Finals.

To get here, the Coyotes beat the Nashville Predators in three of our games to advance out of the qualifiers.

They are hoping to get a boost from Nick Schmaltz. Schmaltz was injured during an exhibition game when he took a hard hit up high and missed the entire qualifying round, but he was a full participant at practice on Sunday.
