As part of the NFL’s “Inspire Change” initiative, a handful of Arizona Cardinals players and others around the league will wear helmet decals to recognize a social justice cause.

Here are the messages and names that Cardinals players will wear on their helmets:

  • Kenyan Drake, Stop Hate
  • DeAndre Hopkins, Denmark Vesey
  • Kyler Murray, End Racism
  • Corey Peters, End Racism
  • Brett Hundley, George Floyd
  • Kelvin Beachum, Breonna Taylor
  • Zane Gonzalez, Vanessa Guillen
  • Andy Isabella, It Takes All of Us
  • Devon Kennard, It Takes All of Us
  • Rashard Lawrence, Stop Hate
  • Zach Allen, Stop Hate

Floyd and Taylor were killed by police officers.

Vanessa Guillen was a soldier at Fort Hood who went missing and was later found dead near the Leon River. A solider is accused of killing her and hiding her body.

Denmark Vesey, who lived in the 1700s and 1800s, was a freed slave who was executed in 1882 on accusations of planning a slave rebellion.

On the NFL opener Thursday night, some players in the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens game wore messages that included “It Takes All of Us,” “End Racism,” “Black Lives Matter,” “Trayvon Martin” and “Breonna Taylor.”

The Players Coalition, founded by Anquan Boldin and Malcolm Jenkins, worked with the league to launch the “Inspire Change” platform in 2019 to focus on education and economic advancements, improved relations with police and the community, and criminal justice reform.

During the 2019 season, teams participated in or hosted more than 500 events as part of the “Inspire Change” program. Since 2018, there has been more than $25 million in contributions, according to the NFL.

Cardinals players will debut the decals during the first game of the season. Kickoff against the San Francisco 49ers is scheduled for 1:25 p.m. on Sunday.
