TUCSON – The Arizona Diamondbacks are returning to Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium, formerly Tucson Electric Park, in Tucson, with proceeds going to the Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Fund.
The Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago White Sox are playing Monday, March 7th, at 1:05 p.m. with gates opening at 11:00 a.m.
Pima County, the Chicago White Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks, the Tucson Padres, and the Pima County Sports and Tourism Authority have committed the charity game proceeds to the memorial fund in remembrance of Christina-Taylor.
Tickets go on sale on February 22nd.
The Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Fund was established at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona by the Green family to receive gifts in memory of Christina-Taylor.
Christina-Taylor was a nine-year old student leader, ballet dancer and Little League Baseball player. The proceeds are supporting Tucson youth in her name.
“Our family has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love for our sweet Christina. This charitable fund will ensure her legacy for the children in our community,” said John Green, Christina’s father.
