Tickets for the first Diamondbacks spring training game at their new facility in Scottsdale sold out Wednesday in a home game scheduled against the Rockies on April 1.

The D-backs have reportedly sold 120,000 tickets so far for their 17 home games at Salt River Fields, surpassing their home attendance total of 99,778 tickets at Tucson Electric Park last year.

“The response from D-backs fans regarding our new Spring Training facility at Salt River Fields has been outstanding,” D-backs’ President & CEO Derrick Hall said.

“We expect to surpass our Spring Training total attendance record soon while also providing a unique and entertaining experience for baseball fans attending exhibition games at Salt River Fields this spring.”
