Tight end Jordan Thomas has been called up from practice squad to the active roster by the Arizona Cardinals for Sunday’s matchup against the Washington Football Team.
Fellow tight end Maxx Williams was ruled out with an ankle injury and unable to practice all week.
Thomas signed with the Cardinals practice squad on Sept. 8 after spending training camp with the Texans.
He played in 21 games (12 starts) the past two seasons with Houston and had 21 receptions for 223 yards and four touchdowns.
The 24-year old Thomas was a sixth-round selection (211th overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Mississippi State. He played in all 16 games (10 starts) as a rookie that season.
