Rookie third-round pick Josh Jones is active for the Arizona Cardinals in their Week 2 game against the Washington Football Team, while 2020 fourth-round pick Leki Fotu is among the healthy scratches.

Jones missed the backend of training camp and the 2020 opener with an ankle injury.

Fotu played four snaps in the 24-20 victory over the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday. Joining him on the inactive list as healthy scratches against Washington are quarterback Brett Hundley, running back Eno Benjamin and offensive tackle Joshua Miles.

Arizona entered its Week 2 game with starters Mason Cole (hamstring) and Maxx Williams (ankle) out due to injuries. The team also placed safety Jalen Thompson (ankle) on injured reserve after Sunday’s win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Center Lamont Gaillard was set to make his first career start in Cole’s place, while the tight end position without Williams will be manned by Dan Arnold and Darrell Daniels.

In addition, 24-year-old Jordan Thomas, a 6-foot-5, 277-pound tight end, was moved from the practice squad to the active roster on Saturday. Thomas has appeared in 21 games with 12 start  the past two seasons with the Houston Texans. He has 21 receptions for 223 yards and four touchdowns.

At safety in Thompson’s place is veteran Chris Banjo, who stepped in for most of the Week 1 victory. Second-year man Deionte Thompson, who was not active in Week 1, is also available against Washington.

Washington’s inactives include quarterback Alex Smith, cornerback Kendall Fuller, running back Bryce Love, linebacker Cole Holcomb, offensive tackle tackle David Sharpe, offensive tackle Saahdiq Charles and receiver Isaiah Wright.
