Raucous Cardinals locker room greets Kyler Murray after win over WFT

Sep 20, 2020, 8:15 PM

The Arizona Cardinals created their own tunnel for quarterback Kyler Murray to run through after a 30-15 win over the Washington Football Team, and Murray decided to partake.

It was nice of the Cardinals players to protect their quarterback, not giving him as many body shots while he was running through as other players might take.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury addressed the team afterward.

“Two things I felt today: I felt going in, we were super confident. Y’all felt that right? There was no way we weren’t winning that game,” Kingsbury said. “We can play so much better. It’s little things here and there. But that’s a hell of a job finding ways to win.”

Kingsbury gave out two game balls, the first of which to the family of Cardinals Hall of Famer Larry Wilson. Wilson died at the age of 82 on Thursday.

The second went to defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, who was celebrating his 48th birthday on Sunday. His gift was a good defensive performance with a win.

Cornerback Patrick Peterson closed out the postgame ceremonies by signing the team off in the huddle.

“We know what it takes each and every week to come out here and get dubs,” he said. “Let’s continue to do that man.”
