Cardinals injury report: Arizona WR Christian Kirk ruled out vs. Lions

Christian Kirk did not participate in practice this week as the Cardinals prepare for the Detroit Lions, and Arizona coach Kliff Kingsbury said Friday before the official injury report was released that the receiver will sit out Sunday at State Farm Stadium.
Kirk pulled his groin and missed some time in a Week 2 win against the Washington Football Team before returning to the field. He finished out that game. Going forward, Kingsbury said the wideout is week-to-week and he hopes the injury is not long-term.
The injury means second-year pros Andy Isabella and KeeSean Johnson could receive action against Detroit.
Johnson had been sidelined on the COVID-19/reserve list until this week, while Isabella has been used sparingly. Isabella did have two catches for 67 yards — 54 came on one deep reception — in Week 2 during Arizona’s 30-15 win over the Washington Football Team.

Defensive tackle Jordan Phillips (ankle) and cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick (neck) are questionable to play Sunday.
For the Lions (0-2), tight end Hunter Bryant is out Sunday. Safety C.J. Moore also popped up on the injury report with a calf issue. Receiver Kenny Golladay, who didn’t play in Weeks 1 or 2, returned to practice and will play on Sunday, according to NFL.com reporter Ian Rapoport.

Safety C.J. Moore (calf) and tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai (foot) are questionable, while corner Desmond Trufant is doubtful (hamstring).
