Catching two passes on Sunday for 67 yards vaulted Andy Isabella to third on the Arizona Cardinals’ roster in receiving yards through two games in 2020.

With a 54-yard reception in the second quarter against the Washington Football Team in Week 2, it was clear that his big-play ability was penciled in to the game plan.

“He has great speed that we got to be able to utilize and that’s on me to continue to incorporate him into the offense, find ways to get him the ball,” head coach Kliff Kingsbury said on Wednesday.

“What you saw on Sunday is what we’ve seen throughout camp and hopefully we’ll continue to see that. He has a tremendous upside and he’s just going to get better and better.”

Isabella, who has been featured in just 17.61% of the Cardinals snaps on offense this season, said he will take what he can get.

“You just have to be ready for all your opportunities whenever you get in,” Isabella said. “Hopefully as time goes on my role starts to get bigger and bigger.”

Isabella was featured in 14.95% of the snaps last season.

“I’ve come millions of miles from last season,” he said.

With a question mark surrounding Christian Kirk who missed practice with a groin injury on Wednesday, Isabella may get his chance.

He is the only wide receiver on the team who has caught a pass besides Kirk, DeAndre Hopkins and Larry Fitzgerald.
