The Arizona Diamondbacks announced they have reinstated right-handed pitcher Silvino Bracho from the 45-day injured list on Friday.
He’s the 29th player on the roster for the doubleheader.
In a corresponding move, righty Corbin Martin was transferred to the 45-day injured list as he recovers from right elbow surgery.
Bracho is making his first appearance with Arizona since 2018 after undergoing Tommy John surgery in March 2019. In 31 games with the D-backs in 2018, Bracho went 2-0 with a 3.19 ERA. He allowed 11 earned runs on 25 hits and walked 12. He also struck out 34 batters.
Martin came over as part of the Zack Greinke trade with the Houston Astros in 2019. Martin had undergone Tommy John surgery on July 3, 2019.
In five starts for the Astros last season, Martin posted a 1-1 record, allowing 12 earned runs and 23 hits. He walked 12 and struck out 19.
Four games remain on the D-backs’ schedule.
