Is it Andy Isabella time? It certainly was on at least one drive for the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, and that’s the most momentum the second-round pick’s career has had thus far.
Isabella caught a 13-yard touchdown against the Detroit Lions, capping a 10-play, 80-yard drive that saw the Cardinals go in front 7-3 early in the second quarter.
It was a gorgeous throw to the corner of the endzone by Kyler Murray.

The drive also included a 26-yard and four-yard catch for Isabella.
Isabella only had nine receptions in all of 2019. He lost out on snaps and targets to his fellow rookie KeeSean Johnson (21 catches), as well as surprise contributors like Damiere Byrd (32) and Pharoh Cooper (25).
Isabella, though, is already getting a more prominent role this season. With Johnson out on the COVID-19 list for the first two games, Isabella got 14 snaps in each outing, clearly slotted in as the team’s fourth wideout. With Christian Kirk out on Sunday due to a groin injury, that presented even more opportunities, and Isabella took advantage right away against the Lions.
