The Chicago Cubs and the Miami Marlins will have to wait a day before resuming their NL Wild Card Series.
Game 2 of the series has been postponed due to inclement weather forecasted at Wrigley Field throughout Thursday.
The game is expected to be played Friday at 11:08 p.m. If it’s the only game played, it will be 4:08 p.m.
If necessary, Game 3 of the series will be Saturday. A time for the matchup has not yet been decided.
The Marlins hold a 1-0 lead in the series following a 5-1 victory over the Cubs in Game 1 on Wednesday.
Miami left fielder Corey Dickerson and DH Jesus Aguilar each homered in the win. Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara went 6.2 IP, allowing three hits, an earned run and three walks. He struck out four batters.
The winner of the series will go on to face the Atlanta Braves in the NLDS.
