Suns’ arena renovations include over 15,000 new seats at TSRA

Fans will get to enjoy brand-new, cushioned seats when they eventually return to Talking Stick Resort Arena as renovations continue.

The Phoenix Suns announced in a press release Thursday that each seat in the upper and lower bowls of the arena have been replaced, over 15,000.

The new seats are part of the $230 million renovation project that will also include around 450 new screens around the arena, new clubs, an updated pavilion and more.

Fans in the new seats will have a better view of the action on the court, according to the release, as sightlines were studied to provide a great view in every seat.

Cup holders will now be featured in every new seat as well.

The organization said back in May that the plan was to have 60% of the renovations completed by the start of next season, with president and CEO Jason Rowley saying at the time that the coronavirus pandemic had not caused any major roadblocks.

Americans with Disabilities Act seating was also upgraded to provide additional seating areas and platforms on both the upper and lower bowl, according to the release.
