Phoenix Mercury star Diana Taurasi’s record of most All-WNBA team selections in WNBA history has extended to 14 this year.
Taurasi, along with Mercury guard Skylar Diggins-Smith, was selected for the 2020 All-WNBA Second Team, the WNBA announced Sunday.
Taurasi entered the 2020 season as the WNBA’s all-time leading scorer with 8,575 career points. The 38-year-old veteran posted 356 total points, 86 assists and 79 rebounds on the season, helping the Mercury secure 13 wins in a shortened 22-game season. Taurasi averaged 18.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game.
In her first year with Phoenix, Diggins-Smith averaged 17.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. This is her fourth All-WNBA team selection.
