The Arizona Coyotes announced Saturday that they signed defenseman Jordan Gross and forward Dryden Hunt to one-year, two-way contracts.
Gross returns to the Coyotes organization after making his NHL debut with the team last season. He played two games, the first of which was on Dec. 22, and he recorded one assist.
With the Tucson Roadrunners, the 25-year-old’s 10 goals led defensemen on the team and his 27 points ranked second among Roadrunners defensemen.
Gross initially signed a two-way entry-level contract with the Coyotes in April 2018.
Hunt comes from the Florida Panthers, where he appeared in 63 NHL games over the last three seasons.
The 24-year-old has three goals and 12 assists over his time in the NHL.
With the AHL Springfield Thunderbirds last season, he recorded 13 goals and 16 assists in 35 games.
The Coyotes have now signed five players over the first two days of free agency. Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro reported Saturday that Arizona signed Johan Larsson, while the team signed John Hayden and right winger Tyler Pitlick on Friday.
