Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Daniel Hudson was named National League Player of the Week award along with Shaun Marcum of the Milwaukee Brewers.
Hudson was 2-0 last week with a 1.80 ERA. Hudson, who pitched 15 innings last week, recorded 12 total strikeouts in his wins over the Colorado Rockies and Minnesota Twins.
This is the first time Hudson has ever been named the National League Player of the Week, but future accolades are not out of the question as Hudson has been steadily improving.
The 24-year old right-hander has won five of his last six starts and has thrown at least six innings in nine of his ten starts.
