After every Arizona Diamondbacks game we’ll examine the
box score and provide you with instant analysis. So it’s
time to go Inside the Box for April 27, 2011: Diamondbacks 11, Astros 3
The Good:
Zach Duke has his first start coming off the DL with a broken hand and proved why he is a starting pitcher. Not only did he throw seven scoreless innings, he also hit a three-run homer in the fourth on the way to his first win of the season.
The Bad:
As hot as he was last night, he was just as cold tonight. Juan Miranda went 0-3 with two strikeouts. At least Miranda is still hitting .261 on the season.
The Funky:
Tonight’s win left the D-backs just a half game out of first place in the NL West.
