Daniel Jones fails spectacularly, trips during 80-yard run for Giants

Yes, you read that headline right. New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones rushed for 80 yards on a play. In a National Football League game.
In the third quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles, Jones faked a handoff that was headed left and scrambled right.
With a fairly crowded box deployed by the Eagles, nearly every defender on the field was either stuck in that left side or out of position.

Only a cornerback remained on the right side, and one of Jones’ wideouts picked the block up, leaving Jones with nothing but daylight.
Jones got by that guy, and play-by-play man Joe Buck declared that Jones was “gone.”
He was, until he wasn’t, tripping over himself and coming up less than 10 yards short of the end zone.
