Arizona Cardinals running back Kenyan Drake left Sunday night’s game against the Seattle Seahawks and was ruled out due to an ankle injury.

In the fourth quarter with under five minutes left, Drake got the first down on a critical 4th-and-1 to keep Arizona’s hopes alive down 10.

Drake stayed down after the play and would need to be helped off the field. He slowly took a seat on the bench before taking a cart to the locker room, putting a towel over his face in tears.

On Sunday, Drake had 14 carries for 34 yards, averaging 2.4 yards per carry. Drake through six games has run the ball 105 times for 478 yards and four touchdowns.

Drake’s backup, Chase Edmonds, was involved in the passing game, hauling in seven receptions for 87 yards in regulation.

Following the game against Seattle, the Cardinals will go on a bye week before returning to action on Nov. 6 against the Miami Dolphins.
