The Arizona Diamondbacks are declining contract options for starting pitcher Mike Leake and relievers Junior Guerra and Hector Rondon, D-backs GM Mike Hazen told MLB.com’s Steve Gilbert on Wednesday.

Of the relievers, Guerra remains under club control as an arbitration-eligible player. Arizona has until Dec. 2 to decide whether to non-tender him.

Additionally, the D-backs declared outfielder Jon Jay and Yasmany Tomas as XX(B) free agents.

In 18 games played this season, Jay recorded eight hits, four RBIs and scored five runs. He had one home run and averaged .160.

Tomas did not record a stat in 2020, as the minor league did not hold a regular season due to coronavirus.

After joining the team in 2019 in a trade with the Seattle Mariners, Leake decided to opt out of the pandemic-shortened 2020 MLB season.

Leake was the first known major league player to opt out of the season.

He appeared in 10 games for the D-backs in 2019, going 3-3 with a 4.35 ERA and 1.37 WHIP.

Rondon played in 23 games last season, posting a 7.65 ERA and a 1.80 WHIP. In 20.0 innings pitched, Rondon allowed 25 hits and 17 earned runs. He recorded seven holds, struck out 23 and had one blown save. The reliver also posted an 1-0 record.

Guerra played in 25 games than Rondon did in 2020, posting a 3.04 ERA and a 1.35 WHIP. He recorded four holds and two blown saves over that span and allowed 17 hits and eight earned runs. He struck out 21 batters and walked 15.
