The Arizona Cardinals signed defensive lineman Josh Mauro from the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad on Wednesday, the team announced.

Additionally, the Cardinals signed running back Khalfani Muhammad and defensive lineman Daniel Wise to the team’s practice squad.

Mauro spent time with the organization from 2014-17 before heading to the New York Giants in 2018 and the then-Oakland Raiders in 2019.

In 47 games (27 starts) with Arizona, Mauro recorded 70 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. As a member of the Giants, Mauro played in 12 games, making 28 tackles and a sack.

With the Raiders, Mauro started seven of the 13 games he played in, registering 19 tackles and a pass deflection.

Mauro has been suspended twice for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs. He was suspended for four games with New York in 2018 and for five games in 2020 with Jacksonville.

The defensive lineman will wear No. 69.

Muhammad spent time with Tennessee (2017) and Denver Broncos practice squads (2018-19) after entering the league as a seventh-round pick with the Titans in the 2017 NFL Draft. The 5-foot-7, 174-pound running back out of California ran for 2,073 yards and 11 touchdowns on 359 carries in 45 games (13 starts) over the course of his college career.

He also caught 55 balls for 571 yards and three receiving touchdowns. Muhammad finished his Cal career second in school history in kickoff returns (87) and kick return yards (1,931).

Wise joins the team’s practice squad after spending time with the Dallas Cowboys practice squad as an undrafted free agent in 2019. In his senior year at Kansas, the 6-foot-3, 300-pound lineman recorded 34 tackles, 12.5 for losses, and five sacks.
