University of Arizona basketball gained its third 2021 commitment Saturday when four-star recruit Shane Nowell announced on Instagram he will become a Wildcat.

Nowell, a 6-foot-6 guard from Eastside Catholic High School in Sammamish, Washington, ranks 65th overall on ESPN’s Top 100 prospects list.

According to 247Sports.com, Nowell is the No. 4 recruit in the state of Washington for the 2021 class.

He chose UArizona over offers from Washington, Oklahoma, Washington State, Montana and Montana State.

Nowell is joining four-star guard K.J. Simpson and four-star shooting guard Shane Dezonie, who committed to UArizona last weekend.

The standout guard is the younger brother of Minnesota Timberwolves guard Jaylen Nowell, who previously played two seasons with Washington.
