The Good:

Justin Upton’s hot streak continued as he hit his 13th home run of the year in the bottom of the fourth inning to break up a Carlos Carrasco no hitter for the Indians.

For the month Upton is hitting .382 with 2 home runs and 15 RBI. He’s hit safely in five straight games and has recorded a hit in 23 of his last 28 games.

The Bad:

For the twelfth time this month Kelly Johnson went hit-less, going 0-for-4 at the plate. The dismal outing drops his batting average for the month to a paltry .176 and drops his season average to .210.

The Ugly:

Zach Duke made it through just five innings of work giving up nine hits and four earned runs while walking two.

In his last four starts he’s allowed 20 earned runs in 19 innings pitched giving him a 9.47 ERA.
