The Arizona Cardinals announced five roster moves Saturday afternoon ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

The team activated offensive lineman J.R. Sweezy from the injured reserve/designated for return list.

Sweezy started the first five games of the season at right guard before going down with an elbow injury on Oct. 17. The lineman started all 16 games for the Cardinals last year in his first season with the team.

In a corresponding move, defensive lineman Leki Fotu was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury after not practicing all week. The fourth-round draft pick has played in six games this year, recording five tackles.

From the practice squad, the team signed defensive lineman Trevon Coley to the active roster.

Coley has recorded four tackles in two games for the Cardinals this season after starting the year on the practice squad. The 26-year-old out of Florida Atlantic previously appeared in seven games for the Indianapolis Colts and 31 games with the Cleveland Browns. Coley started out as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2016 with Baltimore.

Finally, cornerback Jace Whittaker and running back D.J. Foster were both elevated from the practice squad.

Whittaker, a cornerback from the University of Arizona, signed with the Cardinals this year as an undrafted rookie free agent. He’s appeared in two games this season, including last week’s loss to the Miami Dolphins.

A former Arizona State standout, Foster has recorded one carry for two yards and one reception for seven yards across three games this year with Arizona. The running back, who first joined the team in 2017, played in six games in 2019 before being placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. Foster has previously spent time on the New England Patriots practice squad.
