The Phoenix Suns have reportedly tendered qualifying offers to point guard Jevon Carter and forward Dario Saric, according to NBA Insider Keith Smith.
Both players are restricted free agents.
It’s likely both will return to the team, though, based on earlier comments from general manager James Jones.
“Our free agents, we have their rights so we can re-sign them,” Jones told reporters Wednesday after the NBA Draft. “Our restricted guys, we’ll do our best to keep them in house. I feel real good about our ability to build out our roster.”
Carter played 58 games with the Suns last season, averaging 4.9 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 16.3 minutes per game. He was, however, one of the Suns’ best shooters, hitting 42.5% of his threes.
In his fourth NBA season and first with Phoenix, Saric started 51 out of the 66 games he played. The power forward averaged 10.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 24.7 minutes per game.
