Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray reportedly sustained a sprained AC joint in the team’s 28-21 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night.

But while the signal caller is dealing with the injury, it shouldn’t keep him off the gridiron, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said Friday.

“Kyler Murray should be fine by his next start,” Rapoport said on NFL Network. “Nothing that happened last night, no injury to his shoulder is expected to keep him out either next start or long term. That’s the good news.”

Murray was sacked hard by defensive end Carlos Dunlap on the Cardinals’ second possession of the game. He was seen grimacing on the sideline as he continued to throw the ball to stay loose. Talking with reports postgame, Murray said he was” good” when asked about the shoulder.

The QB ended the evening with 269 passing yards on 29-of-42 passing for two touchdowns and no interceptions. He added 15 yards on five carries on the ground, his lowest output as a rusher this season.

Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said he did not know the severity of the injury while on a call via Zoom shortly after the report surfaced.

“I’m not aware of the extent of it but he landed on it on that play,” Kingsbury said. “That’s about all I know.”
