The Good:
Kelly Johnson hit a huge home run, a grand slam that broke a 3-3 tie and put Arizona firmly in command of the game at the time.
Chris Young had two hits for two RBI’s as well offensively for Arizona.
Starter Ian Kennedy didn’t have his best stuff and struggled early in the game, but managed to get out of a bases loaded jam in the third inning.
Kennedy ended up pitching six innings giving up three runs.
David Hernandez was fantastic saving the game in the ninth inning by overcoming an error by Stephen Drew.
Hernandez now has seven saves replacing the injured J.J. Putz.
The Bad:
The middle relief continued to struggle with the usual culprits at work.
Aaron Heilman gave up two runs in the eighth inning with Joe Paterson and Alberto Castillo struggling to record outs as well.
