Thanksgiving is right around the corner and Arizona Cardinals running back Kenyan Drake made sure to help celebrate the holiday with the Boys & Girls Club of Gilbert on Friday.

While COVID-19 restrictions kept Drake from attending the event in-person, he was still able to provide an interview and host the feast virtually through Zoom.

For Drake, providing holiday cheer for Boys & Girls clubs locations is not a new endeavor. He has been active in supporting the location in Gilbert since being traded to the Cardinals in 2019.

Last December, Drake hosted a holiday celebration and more recently helped distribute “thousands of dollars’ worth of Nike equipment” to the club amid to COVID-19 pandemic, according to a release.

Charity has been in Drake’s blood from a young age. According to a report on Yahoo!, Drake and his family would donate and volunteer at food pantries in his hometown of Marietta, Georgia.

While a member of the Miami Dolphins, Drake was known to appear unannounced at the Boys & Girls Club of Broward County to just chat, hang out and play some games with the kids.

In 2018, Drake hosted a Thanksgiving dinner at Hard Rock Stadium for 75 people, including 50 kids from the Boys & Girls Club.

The meal on Friday was provided by Honey Baked Ham.

The Cardinals have an off day on Sunday after losing to the Seattle Seahawks on Thrusday and they return to action next Sunday on the road in New England to face the Patriots.
