The Phoenix Suns have agreed to a two-year deal with center Damian Jones, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Jones, 25, was a first-round pick by the Golden State Warriors in the 2016 NBA Draft, selected 30th overall. Landing on a contender right out of the draft, Jones was unable to carve out a consistent role. He played 49 total games over three seasons, also dealing with injuries over that time.

Last offseason, Jones and a second-round pick were traded by Golden State to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for big man Omari Spellman. Jones went on to play in 55 games, starting 27, averaging 5.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game in 16.1 minutes a night.

Jones figures to replace the spot on the roster of Cheick Diallo, the Suns’ depth big man last season on the end of the bench. Diallo had a team option on his contract that was declined.

Phoenix drafted Maryland big Jalen Smith 10th overall in this year’s NBA Draft and is also expected to re-sign restricted free agent Dario Saric, making up the rotation behind center Deandre Ayton.

The Suns have been busy this offseason, trading for All-NBA point guard Chris Paul and reportedly agreeing to a $30 million deal with forward Jae Crowder.
