There will be four opportunities to watch the new-look Phoenix Suns before the regular season begins.
The NBA released its preseason schedule on Friday. The Suns are slotted to play four games, the first two against the Utah Jazz and the second pair against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Phoenix will take on the Jazz in Utah on Dec. 12 and Dec. 14. and host the Lakers on Dec. 16 and Dec. 18. All four games are scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m.
Phoenix went all-in on win-now moves this offseason. The organization traded for All-NBA point guard Chris Paul in a package that included Ricky Rubio and Kelly Oubre. The Suns then signed veteran forward Jae Crowder and beefed up their bench with draft pick Jalen Smith and signees Langston Galloway and E’Twaun Moore.
These moves put the Suns in contention to end their decade-long playoff drought.
The preseason schedule matches them up with competition who are likely to be in the playoffs themselves. The Jazz have reached the postseason four years in a row and are led by All-Stars Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, while the Lakers are the defending NBA champions behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Training camp is scheduled to begin Dec. 1 and the regular season is set to tip off Dec. 22 with a 72-game schedule.
