Former Phoenix Suns guard Elie Okobo is signing a deal with the Brooklyn Nets, according to The Athletic’s Alex Schiffer.
Details of Okobo’s deal have not yet been reported.
The 23-year-old was waived by the Suns on Nov. 23 after the team added veteran guards E’Twaun Moore and Langston Galloway in free agency, and re-signed guard Jevon Carter.
Okobo’s contract in his third season was non-guaranteed.
The young guard from France was selected by Phoenix 31st overall in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft.
Okobo showed flashes of the player he could be, but struggled to find consistency on the court over the two seasons he spent in Arizona.
Appearing in a total of 108 games for the Suns, Okobo averaged 4.8 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 15.5 minutes per game.
