While trade rumors have connected the Arizona Diamondbacks to some bigger names this month, it may be the smaller moves that make the difference in the NL West.
One of those moves Kevin Towers could make is adding depth to the club’s already much improved bullpen. Enter Toronto Blue Jays right hander Jason Fransor.
Dbacks targeting Toronto reliever Jason Frasor for bullpen help. The 33-year old Frasor is 2-1 with a 2.98 ERA in 42 1/3 innings.
Frasor could offer the D-backs another option in the seventh inning, something that Towers has said he’d like to find before the deadline. At 33 he would also be another veteran arm in the relatively young ‘pen, a role that was recently vacated by the Aaron Heilman.
