Justin Upton has carried the Diamondbacks

Justin Upton has not gone a game without a hit since July 18th, when he went 0-4 in a win over Milwaukee.
Since then he’s gone 24-55, with seven home runs and 21 RBI. Oh, and the Diamondbacks have gone 9-5 over that stretch, pulling into a first place tie with the Giants in the NL West.
Carry the team much?
“When you have Stephen Drew laying on the plate, spinning his foot back around because it’s facing the other way, you start looking around, ‘OK, who’s it going to be, who’s going to be the guy that fills the hole,’ and right now it’s Justin,” D-backs play-by-play commentator Daron Sutton told Sports 620 KTAR’s Doug and Wolf Wednesday. “He won’t, obviously, do this every week and every two weeks throughout the rest of his career — there will be some regression, that’s normal — but to see kind of the mental makeup, the focus that Justin has.”
