Gibson: “My guess is we will bounce back”

PHOENIX – Manager Kirk Gibson isn’t getting too worried over the Diamondbacks recent struggles.

“In the past, we’ve had some tougher times and some streaks where we haven’t played well but we’ve always bounced back. My guess is we will bounce back,” said Gibson on Tuesday.

Arizona has lost four of their last five games, but the D-backs manager doesn’t buy into the team’s struggles too heavily.

“We just haven’t played as good. I hate to say it’s a letdown. I know what we’re capable of playing we just did it within a week,” said Gibson.

The D-backs manager is looking at the big picture in where the team stands in the division.

“It’s so easy to pick a team apart. Throughout this year, we’ve overcome all that stuff to put ourselves only a half game out right now,” said Gibson.
