Arizona State’s Dohnovan West was named the Pac-12 Offensive Lineman of the Week on Monday.
West becomes the fourth Sun Devil to take home weekly conference honors this season, joining punter Michael Turk (special teams), linebacker Merlin Robertson (defensive player) and Tyler Johnson (defensive lineman).
In the team’s dominant 70-7 victory over the Arizona Wildcats in the Territorial Cup, West did not allow a single QB pressure. West was graded as the highest rated guard in the Pac-12 and second offensive lineman in the league (74.3).
The 70-point drumming was the most points scored in Territorial Cup history and the second-most in program history.
West is the highest graded offensive linemen in the conference with a score of 78.3, per the school, and has the second highest efficiency score of any guard in the Pac-12 with a 99.0. Defenders have only gotten pressure on the quarterback 1.9% of his total snaps this season.
He was also a key cog in the running game that finished the evening with 259 yards and is averaging 227 per game in 2020.
West and the rest of the offensive line will look to build off their impressive Territorial Cup win against Oregon State on Saturday.
