The NFL gave Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray his third NFC Offensive Player of the Week nod this season and fourth for his career on Wednesday.
He earned it with a career-high mark of 406 yards on 27-of-36 passing with three touchdowns and an interception against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Murray added an eight-yard touchdown run and 29 rushing yards on eight carries in the 33-26 Cardinals win.
The quarterback earned his first two player of the week honors in Week 5 at the New York Jets and in Week 7 against the Seattle Seahawks.
His three player of the week honors trail only Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen’s four so far in 2020.
Week 15’s awards gave Murray his fourth career player of the week honor, the second-most in team history to trail only former Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner’s five.
Murray’s nine games with both a passing and a rushing touchdown are already the most in league history.
The second-year Arizona quarterback is also on a near-historic trajectory with 11 rushing touchdowns this year. From the quarterback position, only Cam Newton’s 14 in 2011 and Steve Grogan’s 12 in 1976 for a single season are greater.
