Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff’s availability in Week 17 against the Arizona Cardinals has come into question, following the Rams loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Goff suffered an injury to his right thumb and will undergo testing to determine the extent of the damage.

Sports Illustrated’s Mike Silver also tweeted that he and NFL Networks Ian Rapoport had learned the quarterback suffered a broken thumb. Rapoport said surgery will be required but his status for the Arizona game will be decided later this week.

If Goff is unavailable for Los Angeles, the next man up on the depth chart is former Arizona Hotshots quarterback John Wolford, of the short-lived Alliance of American Football.

The only other quarterback listed as a member of the Rams is practice squad member Bryce Perkins, a rookie out of Virginia. Perkins played his high school football at Chandler High School and began his college career at Arizona State.

This comes ahead of a must-win matchup for the Arizona Cardinals in Los Angeles in Week 17.

The Cardinals loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday meant that Arizona would need help to secure their first playoff berth since the 2015-16 season.

With the Bears winning against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the help for the Cardinals came in the form of Seattle beating the Rams in Week 16.

Now, for the Rams to make the playoffs, they must either beat the Cardinals on Sunday or lose and hope for the Green Bay Packers to beat the Bears.

The Cardinals must win to make the postseason.
